Microsoft announced the first wave of Xbox 360 backwards compatible games for the Xbox One. Sorry, no Halo yet.

Halo Reach, Bioshock Series to come later

Microsoft announcing that the Xbox One would be backwards compatible with select Xbox 360 games was one of the biggest announcements of E3 last year, and they finally released the list of 104 titles that will be available on November 12. Most of these are XBLA games, but a handful of gems like Assassins Creed II, Fallout 3, Fable II, and Mass Effect are included.

IT’S IMPORTANT TO NOTE: Microsoft intends on releasing more games in the future, including Halo Reach, Bioshock 1, 2 and Infinite, and Skate 3. This isn’t all folks, more are coming. In case you don’t believe me, here’s a quote from Mike Ybarra, Director of Program Management for Xbox:

Our launch of 104 titles on Nov. 12 is just the beginning. You can expect new Xbox One Backward Compatible games to be announced on a regular basis, starting in December. More titles are on the way, including fan favorites like Halo Reach, Halo Wars, Call of Duty: Black Ops, Bioshock, Bioshock 2, Bioshock Infinite and Skate 3. Stay tuned because this just the beginning of a long list of Xbox 360 games that will run on Xbox One.
